Pitbull’s army of fans set Guinness World Record for largest gathering of bald caps
Pitbull performed to a sea of bald caps as he headlined BST Hyde Park on July 10, writes Music News Blitz’s Madeline Rhodes.
Before Pitbull was set to perform, his fans gathered by the main stage to be officially counted towards the record.
It was later confirmed the number was 22,141 bald cap wearers.
Not only did he break the world record he played to BST Hyde Park’s highest attendance of a single concert to almost 70,000 people.
Despite the weather reaching 32° in London that day, fans were having the time of their lives at the concert.
With him when he was handed the award was radio presenter Greg James and influencer Jack Remmington who managed to make it happen, Remmington posted a video to TikTok last year with the idea and James was the one who got Pitbull on board.
Also known as Mr Worldwide, in recent years has inspired fans to attend his concerts in bald caps, sunglasses, goatees and a suit.
Pitbull thanks ‘the baldies’ after Guinness World Record success
The Grammy winner said “Humble don't stumble and that's why I always say thank you when I'm out there, I always say thank you to the fans and it's a blessing and an honour to be able to see the baldies.”
He told reporters “Who would have ever thought a first-generation Cuban would be able to be in London record-breaking and record-making one for the Guinness Book of World Records.”
Pitbull, whose real name is Armando Christian Perez, described the achievement as both a “blessing” and an “honour.”

A hit-filled headlining performance
After the record break, Pitbull went onto perform some of his greatest hits to his army of bald caps.
He performed Don’t Stop The Party (2012), Time of Our Lives (2014) and Give me Everything (2011).
He also played one of his first hits Culo (2004) and his first international breakthrough song I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho) released in 2009.
Towards the end of his performance he surprised fans by playing the unofficial anthem for England playing in the FIFA World Cup 2026, Wonderwall by Oasis.
Pitbull’s two-decade-plus career
Born in Miami to Cuban parents, Pitbull first emerged into the spotlight in the Latin and Hip-Hop scene before becoming one of pop’s biggest collaborators in music.
During his two-decade-long career, he has sold 25 million studio albums and 100 million singles worldwide.
In 2014, he was chosen to write and record the official song for the FIFA World Cup with Sia and a team of producers to be performed by himself, Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte.
Pitbull was featured twice on the soundtrack to Despicable Me 2 (2013), with his songs Don’t Stop the Party (2012) and Echa Pa'lla (Manos Pa'rriba) (2010).
Over the years, he has created hit songs with artists such as Ne-Yo, Christina Aguilera and Usher.

Evoking nostalgia
Tinie Tempah, a British rapper, singer and entrepreneur who really boomed in the early 2010s, performed his popular songs.
He stated, “I think it’s amazing to be an artist that’s been in people’s lives year on year, memories upon memories.”
Playing his own blast from the past tunes, artists who have collaborated with Pitbull in the past were also performers at the event.
Lil Jon joined him on stage for their song Jumpin (2023).
Kesha also came on stage with Pitbull in her own bald cap to sing their hit Timber (2013).
For pop fans around the world, Pitbull, with his positive and high-energy party anthems, will always have a place on their playlist.
