Ariana Grande returns to the stage for her “Eternal Sunshine” tour

The ‘Sweetener’ Grammy Award winner is making her return to the stage after seven years, writes Music News Blitz’s Tabitha Kongo.

Ariana Grande is set to kick off her 2026 ‘Eternal Sunshine’ tour with an opening show at the Oakland Arena in Oakland, California, on Saturday, June 6.

This marks her first major tour return since her ‘Sweetener’ world tour in 2019.

Finally, she is taking centre stage to showcase her melodic vocals that her fans love.

Supporters around the world are eager and excited to witness her live performance of the album.

A new beginning and change

It is reported that this show seems to take a different angle with a few crowds.

Unlike the previous tours hosted by Grande, this one is more intimate, with smaller venues and a closer setting between Ariana and her audience.

The show will run from 6 June to 1 September across North America and the UK.

She is also set to perform some songs from her album ‘positions’, which was released during the COVID-19 era and never received a touring cycle.

Her forthcoming eighth album, ‘petal’, is expected to be released on July 31st in the midst of Grande’s ‘Eternal Sunshine’ tour.

Her single, ‘hate that I made you love me’, was released on the 29th of May, addressing aspects of her personal life.

What is next after the tour?

Social media has been flooded with anticipation from fans.

Grande also shared a video with a live rehearsal of ‘Hate that I made you love me’ on her socials, showing that preparations are in full swing for the opening tour.

This is one of Grande’s significant moments after juggling her music and acting career.

During her interview on Amy Poehler’s ‘Good Hang’ podcast, Grande acknowledged how grateful she is, and the tour will be beautiful.

She also mentioned that this might be her “last hurrah”.

Let’s see whether this tour might change Ariana’s mind as she reconnects with her supporters.
