Fan communication in song narration - How fans are having a say in ArkeON’s music
K-Pop groups are widely known to have strong fan bases and communities, from members having a favourite idol in the group to lightsticks and fancams.
Korean group ArkeON is known for using AI visuals, but they have taken a step further with fan interaction by having direct contact with fans in comment sections and in an inner circle, and by allowing fans to have a role in the music and storytelling, writes Music News Blitz’s Will Gardner.
Connecting the Community
Their community, known as RainbONs, has its own spaces to talk about their lives and the music.
“Anchor,” a song by ArkeON, is about family disapproval of member Soren when he chose to pursue a music career.
He said, “A lot of people were there talking about how that wound is deep in their lives. The better part of this is that the community supports the community, they share their stories and try to help others to health that is beautiful to see and to read.
“You see how a lot of people are alone, with no one there and they found a place with us where they can talk, you can always find someone there to give you advice.”
They talked about how the best thing to come from making music is not seeing it pay off, but rather fan reactions and seeing the community come together.
“I think this is the best part about this project, how we create a place for them,” said Soren.
“We are caring people. I think we are friends because of that.”
He also referred to other groups' lack of fan interaction as being “cold and distant.”
As ArkeON grows, what pressures do they face?
The group started at the beginning of 2026 and, in the past eight months, they have amassed 58.2k followers on TikTok and 1,659 monthly listeners.
But with this growth, how do they plan to keep their engagement?
“Yeah, we can't share the same time as before in private. We did a group with the goldens, but we comment in every post to every single one, so we try to be there in every post, answer all,” explained Soren.
The private inner circle is known as the ‘Golden List,’ who have direct contact with members.

How do the fans make their own narrative?
ArkeON have primarily released singles and not albums, which is atypical for most musicians, but this allows the community to have a bigger say in the music they make.
Artists often use albums to explore a theme and tell a story, with each song contributing to a wider narrative.
ArkeON, however, use their progressive single releases as episodes in their story, with the singles later brought together as albums.
Soren said, “It is our way to create a narrative with the music and the story. Think of that like an arc in a tv show. Season 1 was like a presentation into the universe. Just ArkeON and a presentation about us.
“Season 2 is an expansion. More creators working with us, more characters, more lines and a direction.
“Not only with music. Our daily content uses the story. The music is like a moment that must be remembered or a special moment.
“But the idea is that you can listen to the music even without knowing the story. You can enjoy just that.”
The format has allowed the community to have input on Leen becoming a member of the group as well as Riven and Kael being public in their relationship.
“For season 3 we will keep like this, weekly single. I understand a lot of artists use albums to tell a bigger story within the context of songs,” Soren explained.
Other band member Riven followed up, saying, “We need the interactions with the fandom to share the story. We can't upload the album in advance because the lyrics are telling the story.”
