Music news: Gracie Abrams announces new album ‘Daughter From Hell’ to be released in July
Gracie Abrams has announced her new album, ‘Daughter From Hell’, which is set to release in July, explains Music News Blitz’s Bella Ford.
Her new single ‘Hit The Wall’, which will provide insight into the new record, is out on May 15.
New music
The new record comes after the 2024 release of ‘The Secret Of Us’, which had fan favourites including ‘I Love You, I'm Sorry’ and ‘That's So True’ from the deluxe version.
Abrams wrote and produced all 16 tracks from ‘Daughter From Hell’ with her long-term friend, Aaron Dessner.
He wrote on Instagram that he was “So so so so so beyond excited” to announce his work on the album, as it had been six years since they started working together.
She announced the new single with an Instagram post on May 1. Featuring her silhouette with flames in the background, she captioned the announcement with “I love it with everything I have”.
Abrams said to Vogue at the 2026 Met Gala that “[The single] is the introduction to this new chapter, and I feel grateful and relieved that this is the introduction.”
“I love the song so much and I love the people I made it with. It feels embodied and that feels good,” she continued. “I’m excited for it to belong to everyone else.”

Global sensation
Work began on this new record two years ago, and many of the songs were written around the same time as hit singles like ‘I Told You Things’.
Her last album, ‘The Secret Of Us’, hit number one in the UK on the Official Charts.
Its success led to a world tour and arena run in 2025.
Abrams has now gathered millions of fans all over the world, performing at Glastonbury and reaching over 33 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
Fans are massively excited for her new era.
Looking ahead
Apart from her massive music career, Abrams is set to make her acting debut in the A24 film “Please” from writer/director Halina Reijn.
She will star alongside Tom Burke, David Jonsson and Connor Storrie from the hit series Heated Rivalry.
Gracie Abrams new album ‘Daughter From Hell’ will be released worldwide on July 17, and her new single ‘Hit The Wall’ will be out on May 15 at 1 AM BST.
