Olivia Rodrigo wants to come to Leeds? Star-spotting around the city

Olivia Rodrigo was recently heard saying, “I really want to go to Leeds this year, I think that would be fun,” during her appearance on Hits Radio on June 12.

The ‘GUTS’ singer has previously made her love for the UK known, often seen hanging out in London and eating sausage rolls in Wales, writes Music News Blitz’s Megan Hamilton.

To local fans, this will be really exciting to hear, especially as the north is often excluded from many world tours, making many fans trek down to London to see their favourite artists.

After this news, and having just released her third album ‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love’, perhaps we’ll see Leeds as a stop on her next tour (everybody cross your fingers!).

Perhaps we’ll see her enjoying a slice of pizza at Belgrave, or enjoying a drink at Green Room this summer.

Celebrity sightings in Leeds

While we wait patiently for Olivia to show up, what other celebs have been seen in and around Leeds?

Stanley Tucci was spotted in the Ilkley Tap earlier this year, getting a beer in the area during the filming of a soon-to-be-released TV series on British food.

Married to the sister of English actor Emily Blunt, Tucci is no stranger to the UK.

Kiefer Sutherland and ‘Pitch Perfect’ actor Rebel Wilson enjoyed a Greggs as they spent time in Yorkshire whilst filming ‘Tinsel Town’ in early 2025.

Wilson said she was “loving it” in Yorkshire, and locals appreciated Sutherland’s friendliness – seems like they fit right in!

In 2024, Tenacious D and ‘School of Rock’ icon Jack Black were spotted in the city for a gig, telling concert-goers that he’d enjoyed a stroll along the canal.

And lastly, ‘The Greatest Showman’ star Hugh Jackman was spied walking the Yorkshire Dales, as well as stopping in on local businesses, in 2023.

Unlike many of the other celebs featured here, Jackman wasn’t here for work, instead it was a family holiday that had him trying cheeses at a local shop for 40 minutes.

The charms of God’s own country have well and truly reached Hollywood, so who knows who’ll be spotted next.
