Music news: Five songs we predict will feature on Taylor Swift’s wedding playlist

Rumours have been swirling surrounding the wedding of Taylor Swift and fiancé Travis Kelce since the announcement of their engagement in August last year.

Given Swift’s tendency to hide “easter eggs” that hint at album release dates and song titles, fans believe the singer could be hiding clues about the upcoming wedding in plain sight.

‘Swifties’ speculate that the singer’s favourite number, 13, could be the wedding date.

While we don’t know when the wedding will take place, we do have an idea of what music Swift might request at the reception, writes Music News Blitz’s Megan Hamilton.

'I Believe In A Thing Called Love' by The Darkness

Famously dancing to the rock hit in a 2016 Apple music advert, the singer was also spotted “rocking out” to the song with her fiancé at the 2024 US Open Tennis Championships, so it would be no surprise to hear this blasting from the DJ booth.

'You Oughta Know’ by Alanis Morrissette

Having performed a cover of ‘You Learn’ in 2011, and joining forces with Morrissette in 2015 for the 1989 World tour, it’s safe to say Swift is a long time fan of the Canadian-American singer, who is a likely feature on the wedding playlist.

‘Applause’ by Lady Gaga

Any fans who attended the Eras Tour will know the excitement that this song evokes, as it was the last song to play before Taylor appeared onstage.

With the success of the tour, who could fault Taylor for playing this on the big day?

‘Edge of Seventeen’ by Stevie Nicks

Swift and Nicks have a friendship spanning over a decade, and the pair have long been voicing their admiration for each other.

In December 2025 Swift stated: “I have Stevie Nicks in my life in a way that like affects me positively constantly.”

Perhaps Nicks will attend the wedding both literally and musically (I’m predicting a live performance…?).

‘Mirrorball’ by Taylor Swift

It may seem like an odd choice to feature one of her own songs on this list, but with a discography like hers, she’d be a fool not to play her own work!

In an interview with Stephen Colbert, Swift highlights ‘Mirrorball’ as one of her favourites, and it’s perfect for a slow dance.
