Music news: Olivia Rodrigo’s celebration of Spotify Billions Club Live performance in Barcelona
Olivia Rodrigo took to the stage in Barcelona, Spain, on May 8, 2026, for Spotify’s exclusive Billions Club Live show.
Music News Blitz’s Amelie Da Costa is here to tell us everything we know about the performance.
Spotify Billions Club information
Spotify’s Billions Club Live concert is a set of exclusive and intimate music events to celebrate artists who have at least one song with over one billion streams on the platform.
The event is usually one night only and organised for top fans of the artist to enjoy their biggest songs performed live.
The first ever concert took place in 2024, which was a show for the Weeknd in Los Angeles to celebrate a number of his songs with over a billion streams.
Fans receive tickets for the concert through a direct invitation on Spotify, making the concerts personal and private.
To acquire a ticket, fans must be among the top listeners of that artist and will have an email sent to them with the invitation.
Olivia Rodrigo’s show
Olivia Rodrigo was the fifth artist to do a performance for the Billion Club Concert, which was held in Barcelona at Teatre Grec, an open-air theatre that is designed to look like Ancient Greek architecture, allowing a closer connection to fans.
The concert consisted of 14 songs, including most of her songs that have over one billion streams on Spotify.
She opened the concert with ‘bad idea right?’, bringing in high energy from the start.
She also sang some of her massive hits including, ‘drivers license,’ ‘good 4 u,’ ‘traitor,’ ‘deja vu,’ ‘vampire,’ ‘happier,’ ‘favourite crime,’ and ‘jealousy, jealousy,’ which have all accumulated over one billion streams.
The only song that was missing out of the billions club was ‘All I Want,’ a song from her early days in ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, ’ which is understandable as it not part of her main discography.

The new single performance
Rodrigo performed the new single ‘drop dead’ for the third time during her show and seemed visibly shocked at how loud the crowd was when singing along with her.
She originally performed the song for the first time at Addison Rae’s Coachella set on April 18 2026, just one day after its release, and went on to perform it again on Saturday Night Live on May 2.
The new song is a single off her upcoming album you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love that is set to release on streaming platforms on June 12.
Spotify's Billions Club Live Concert came at the right time for Olivia, allowing her to get more publicity and promote the new single ahead of the album release.
So far this year, fans have gotten a handful of live performances from Olivia and a teaser of what the new album will sound like, with more exciting to come in the future regarding her music career.
